Job Description On behalf of our client, a well established and highly respected automobile dealership based in Salinas, CA, we are seeking high energy, highly motivated candidates for the position of Sales Representative with the opportunity to move into a Sales Manager role after introductory period and dependent upon experience. This is a full-time position offering a base plus commission compensation plan. Direct hire

Job Summary: Sells automobiles by understanding and demonstrating characteristics, capabilities, and features; developing and qualifying buyers; closing sales. Will have a variety of responsibilities ranging from meeting, greeting and prospecting customers to identifying appropriate inventory, negotiating sales prices and handling financing and contracts. The profession is competitive, but engaging and a knowledgeable salesman often finds success in this fast-paced business.

Automobile Sales Manager Responsibilities (to include but are not limited to):

* Understands automobiles by studying characteristics, capabilities, and features; comparing and contrasting competitive models; inspecting automobiles.
* Develops buyers by maintaining rapport with previous customers; suggesting trade-ins; meeting prospects at community activities; greeting drop-ins; responding to inquiries; recommending sales campaigns and promotions.
* Qualifies buyers by understanding buyer's requirements and interests; matching requirements and interests to various models; building rapport.
* Demonstrates automobiles by explaining characteristics, capabilities, and features; taking drives; explaining warranties and services.
* Closes sales by overcoming objections; asking for sales; negotiating price; completing sales or purchase contracts; explaining provisions; explaining and offering warranties, services, and financing; collects payment; delivers automobile.
* Provides sales management information by completing reports.
* Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications.
* Enhances dealership reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Candidate Requirements Ideal candidate will have the following Skills and Qualifications (a combination of same may be considered):

* Able to meet personal and team's sales goals
* Is sales motivated with ability to determine customer needs
* Has strong financial and math skills and/or desire to learn finance responsibility
* Documentation skills with ability to track leads and follow up on potential sales
* Experience scheduling staff and basic management skills
* Must have exceptional communication skills, i.e., telephone skills, listening, verbal communication
* Must be self motivated, responsible, and able to lead a team.
* Successful candidate will be outgoing, gregarious and engaging.
* Bilingual skills required (English/Spanish)
